Bedrooms
Bunkershill has two spacious bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king size bed, bedside furniture and chest of drawers. The window faces east towards fields and Carleton Farm, and so gets the morning sun. The second bedroom has two single beds with pull out beds underneath each one. This means that there is comfortable accommodation for two adults or four children in this room. This bedroom also has a large storage cupboard for clothes. The window faces west over the delightful garden.
All pillows, duvets and bed linen are provided.
Kitchen
The kitchen is of very good quality with plain cream units and beech work surfaces. It is open plan to the living room, but divided from it by a half height partition and apex beams in the ceiling. It is a lovely place to prepare meals with a small window over the garden and a front window from which you can see the sea (approximately 3 miles away).
There is built in cooker with electric double oven and gas hob with extractor fan, as well as a microwave cooker. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge and freezer and a dishwasher is installed. There is ample cupboard space and many cooking ingredients you might need (but forget to bring!) such as herbs and spices are provided. You will also find a large selection of cookery books on the bookshelf.
The dining area is part of the kitchen and an oak table and four comfortable leather upholstered chairs are provided. The table comfortably seats 4 people, but also has an extending mechanism so can be opened up to seat 6. An oak bench is provided for additional seating.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all the cutlery, crockery, pans and other cooking equipment you will need.
Living Room
The living room is open plan to the kitchen and is delightfully furnished with two comfortable couches and a lovely window seat with cushion seating made specially by textile artist Jo Gallant, from Kirkcudbright.
There is a television and DVD player as well as a good quality Radio/CD player. Although the cottage has full underfloor heating run from an oil fired boiler in the outside boiler house, there is also a lovely open fire in the living room on which you can burn coal and logs (also provided). This makes the cottage ideal for either a summer or winter break.
Bathroom
Bunkershill has a particularly pretty and spacious bathroom. It is equipped with a walk in shower, bath and washbasin. There is a large walk in cupboard off the bathroom which contains the washing machine. The warm airing cupboard can be found off the hall.
The rental figure includes all electricity and gas. Additionally, coal and logs will be provided in the winter months. Sorry no pets are allowed in the property, and smoking is only permitted in the garden.
