Lights

Way back before electric lighting became common, as far back as the early 20th century, people lit up their homes with candles, gas lights and oil lights. Whilst we all like a candle, the others we can leave behind. Here at Bunkers Hill we’d like to thank Humphry Davy who developed the first incandescent light in 1802, swiftly followed by the first practical electric arc light in 1806. If it wasn’t for our old friend Humphry we wouldn’t be able to bring you our handpicked collection of table lights, ceiling lights and table lamps. We just love our lights and lamps, take a look below to see our beautiful selection of lighting. One of our all time favourites is our elegant Shoreditch metal table lamp, the perfect table lamp for your home or office. Our buyers’ favourite is the Ledbury table lamp, with its porcelain shade and steel fixings it has a contemporary design with a twist to lighten up any shaded area of your home. If we had to ask Humphry which light was his favourite, we’re sure he’d just like to see his fine invention of the light bulb lighting our delicate ceiling light. Well Humphry, we hope you like our Rennes porcelain pendant light with it’s porcelain shade and black and white braided flex because we sure do. These are the perfect lights to light up your dining table. We find that a row of three or more of the Rennes pendant light just look fantastic!
